Austria’s capital community volunteers deliver fact-based drug education with young people across the city

VIENNA, Austria — 23 December 2025 — Volunteers linked to Foundation for a Drug-Free World Austria are expanding outreach in Vienna, engaging young people, parents and teachers via public information points and community events. Led locally by Gabriele Toker, the initiative relies on “Truth About Drugs” materials to present straightforward information on commonly abused substances, with particular attention eu news express to cannabis, described by public monitoring bodies as the most widely used illicit drug in Europe. A short report is available via a Scientology Europe report.

According to organisers, the Vienna activities aim to reach teenagers early, with visibility at major public events, including the Donauinselfest, while also supporting teachers seeking prevention tools for schools. Ivan Arjona, Scientology’s representative to the EU, OSCE, Council of Europe and the United Nations, noted: “Reliable, early information helps young people make free and responsible choices—strengthening public health and civic responsibility.”
